Treat yourself to this reproduction GS P51-B kit. The P51-B model became the first long range fighter that was able to compete with the Luftwaffe’s fighters. From late 1943, P51Bs and P51-Cs were used by the USAAF’s Eighth Air Force to escort bombers in raids over Germany whilst the RAF’s Second Tactical Air Force and the USAAF’s Ninth Air Force used the Merlin powered Mustangs as fighter-bombers, roles in which helped ensure Allied air superiority in 1944. During world war 2 Mustang pilots claimed to have destroyed 4,950 enemy aircraft! This is a GS full kit that includes all the balsa and ply needed to complete the build. All sticks are cut to size and correct dimentions. All shaped parts have been pre-shaped ready for finishing. Also comes with a full scale set of plans, instuction manual, ABS cowl/air scoop and wing MG ports and clear canopy. To complete the kit you will need hardware, fuel tank and tubes, retracts of choice, 6-7 channel radio, 10 servos, engine, spinner, prop. Specs of kit: wing span 84.5 inch, weight 17.5 to 19 lb (7.9 kg – 8.6 kg), fuse length 73.5 inch, 6-7 channel radio, 10 servos, wing area 1245 sq in, wing loading 23-35oz/sq ft, engine 35-70 cc.

I received the complete kit in the spring and what a great vieuw when you look into the box!!
When the flying season is over I’ll start building with this magnificant looking woodwork.
Now my “ BIG BEAUTIFUL DOLL” is still flying super good afther only two times picking the steel wire on the outline off out field and craching!
It is a ARF GS from the early day s and I put in An OS200FS surpass with the stock exaust . Its a great flying machine ,flying for almost 15 years now ,and after the seccond major repair it is even flying beter, more scale . Maybee its a bit more heavy .
In the spring I also got the electro conversion for the ROBART retracts in and its working fine. Bought it just in time ,they stoppend producent.
The air Robart system never failed me by the way.
All these will be put into my New P51 B and there will be a build blog .
